“Dear ELFA members,

We were about to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ELFA in Warsaw these days. Unfortunately, we cannot come together in these special times. But we can still look back from where we are to 25 years of European dialogue and we can see how relevant our work is. The current situation – as dramatic as it is – has once more highlighted the necessity to coordinate projects, knowledge and education on a European Level. At our law faculties all over Europe, we educate people who – by applying and by creating law – set the foundations of a functioning European society. ELFA’s task is to secure and to develop an accordingly high-levelled legal education and research. This task is as up-to-date today as it was when ELFA was founded in 1995. I am proud to be a part of this and I wish the best of luck to ELFA and all those who are working for its forthcoming.”
