Applications are now open for the 2027 edition of the CCBE Amicus Curiae Contest, an annual competition organised by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) for law students and trainee lawyers across Europe. ELFA is pleased to support this initiative, which offers future legal professionals the opportunity to develop their legal research and drafting skills while engaging with fundamental issues relating to human rights and the rule of law. The ELFA Board wishes to inform you that the 2027 Annual General Meeting and Conference in Como, Italy, has been postponed by one week. The event will now take place from 21 to 23 April 2027, instead of 14 to 16 April 2027, as previously announced during the Annual Conference in Bilbao. This change has been made for compelling logistical reasons. In particular, it avoids a clash with a major international event taking place in the region during the originally scheduled dates, which would have made it significantly more difficult for participants to secure accommodation.
