The 2019 ELFA AGM and Conference is approaching! The ELFA President and the Board members are looking forward to meeting you all this week in Turin, Italy and are hoping that this meeting will be a time for renewal, inspiration and dialogue in our experiences in law teaching and research.
The Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), member of ELFA with an observer status, is promoting the drafting of the Charter of Barcelona for the Rights of Citizens in the Digital Era. The project aims at assessing the impact of the Information Society on the rights of people. Moreover, it strives to lay the foundations for a global agreement representing the improvement in the quality of life and the preservation of human rights in the digital environment. The final programme of the 2019 ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference is now available! This year's Conference, which is held in Turin from the 10 to the 12 of April, is entitled "Integration and Diversity in European Legal Education." As it was announced during the Barcelona Annual General Meeting, this year ELFA launches the first edition of its Summer Courses. The ELFA board of directors, in its last meeting held in Warsaw on 19 July 2018, has decided to open the call for applications to all ELFA members. The conditions that must be fulfilled in order to obtain the recognition of an ELFA Summer Course are established in the regulation which is accessible online here. We have the pleasure to announce the call for papers for young scholars that ELFA is jointly promoting with the American Association of Law Schools (AALS). Papers may concern any matter related to European Law and must be written in English. The paper in question must have been accepted for publication by a journal but still be in progress so that it can be discussed in New Orleans, Louisiana in early January at the meeting of the American association of law Schools. ELFA is pleased to announce the ELFA Summer Courses! One of the main aims of ELFA is to build and enhance a truly European dimension in the fields of legal teaching and research.
