ELFA and LSGL join forces

We are delighted to announce that two leading international legal education networks, the European Law Faculties Association and the Law Schools Global League, are to collaborate on a joint research project in the field to which both entities are devoted. This cooperation will take the form of a special issue of ELFA's flagship journal, the European Journal of Legal Education, which will be dedicated to global legal education. The ELFA Board would like to kindly remind all members that, for imperative organisational reasons, it is essential that colleagues wishing to attend the Anual General Meeting and Conference do register before 31 January 2024. Please bear this in mind since no later registrations will be accepted. On the other hand, please also note that accommodation in Edinburgh will be very full in April, so it is strongly recommended that you send in your registration form as soon as possible. One of the ELFA main aims, according to article 6.2 of its Articles of Incorporation, is the gradual development of a common European dimension in the different areas of legal education and research in general, and education and research in European Union law and comparative law of the EU Member States in particular. The winners of the 2022 ELFA Award were announced at a ceremony held at the Association’s Annual General Meeting and Conference in Lausanne, on 13 April 2023. The names were announced by Jivko Draganov, ELFA Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors, and Laurence Gormley, former ELFA President and coordinator of the ELFA Award. First Prize was awarded to Dr. Sophia Ayada, for her thesis “From contesting gender stereotypes to questionning anti-stereotyping. A critical analysis of the CJEU gender equality jurisprudence”.
