We are deeply sorry to announce that the ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference, which was planned to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 22 to 24 April 2020, has been cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The University of Warsaw has issued a statement suspending, from 11 March 2020, all public gatherings and events until the end of April and prohibiting foreign travel to and from the University. Notwithstanding the above, the restrictive measures brought in by a growing number of countries to contain the spreading of the virus will undoubtedly create a major obstacle for speakers and participants planning to attend the Conference. Finally, as at the time of writing, coronavirus containment prospects around the world are worsening.

For these exceptional reasons which are entirely beyond anyone’s control, the ELFA Board of Directors has decided to cancel the event until further notice. Decisions regarding the course of action and the rescheduling of the meeting will be made in the near future and will be duly communicated to all the members of the Association.
