During the last ELFA Annual General Meeting, which was held online on 16 October 2020, it was announced that the next AGM and Conference would take place in Warsaw (Poland) from 21 to 23 April 2021. However, at the time of writing, the restrictive measures imposed by most countries in order to contain the COVID-19 pandemic are still in force, and, unfortunately, they are unlikely to be lifted in the short term. We are deeply sorry to announce that the ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference, which was planned to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 22 to 24 April 2020, has been cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University of Warsaw has issued a statement suspending, from 11 March 2020, all public gatherings and events until the end of April and prohibiting foreign travel to and from the University. The 2019 Conference and AGM Turin took place between the 10th and the 12th of April in Turin. The Conference started with an institutional welcome and then it was followed by a key note speech which was addressed by the President of the European University Institute. Afterwards, the 2018 Award winners were announced.
