We are delighted to announce the preliminary Programme of the next ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference that will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland from the 12th to the 14th of April 2023.

This year’s meeting will be entitled “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Legal Education” and the event will be organised by the Faculty of Law, Criminal Justice and Public Administration of the University of Lausanne. The Conference and AGM venue will be the Dorigny Campus, Bâtiment Anthropole, in Room 1129.

On Wednesday 12 April, there will be a welcoming reception for all members wishing to attend.

The Conference will begin on Thursday morning, 13th of April with a welcome by the Rector of the University of Lausanne, the Director of the Law School and the ELFA President.

The opening speech will be delivered by Ambassador Franz Perrez, Chief Negotiator for Climate Change, Swiss Ministry of the Environment, Berne, Switzerland.

After the coffee break, EJLE Editor-in-Chief, Greta Bosch will chair a panel discussion on the topic “Developments in Legal Education” and the announcement of the 2022 ELFA Award winners will follow.

After lunch, there will be a panel debate chaired by Jivko Draganov, ELFA Vice-president on the topic “Interdisciplinary and Comparative Approaches to Law”.

The last, but not least panel debate will be chaired by Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm, ELFA First Vice-president regarding “Networks and Legal Education”.

In the evening there will be a Gala Dinner at the Musée Olympique.

On Friday, the day will be initiated with a Round table on “Teaching Foreign Law in American and European Law Schools”, chaired by ELFA Vice-president Gema Tomas. After the coffee break, the ELFA Annual General Meeting will be held. The Meeting will be finished with some closing remarks by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Vincent Martenet, followed by a drink and a light lunch.
