We are deeply sorry to announce that the ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference, which was planned to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 22 to 24 April 2020, has been cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University of Warsaw has issued a statement suspending, from 11 March 2020, all public gatherings and events until the end of April and prohibiting foreign travel to and from the University. We have the pleasure to announce that the European Law Faculties Association is now accepting submissions for the ELFA Awards 2019 regarding the best Doctoral thesis in European law (including comparative law) defended in the academic year 2018-2019. Note that any European jurist having his or her Doctoral thesis / Ph.D. as part of a doctorate programme accepted and approved between the period 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2019 is eligible. As it was announced during the Barcelona Annual General Meeting, this year ELFA launches the first edition of its Summer Courses. The ELFA board of directors, in its last meeting held in Warsaw on 19 July 2018, has decided to open the call for applications to all ELFA members.
