During the ELFA Annual General Meeting, on the 23rd June 2021, the results of the ELFA Thesis Award 2020 round were announced. After having read the theses and discussed them, the jury has decided to award the First Place to Dr. Pierre Auriel, for his thesis "L’équivalence des protections des droits fondamentaux dans l’Union européenne". Dr. Auriel obtained his Doctorate from the Institut Michel Villey, Centre de droit européen, Université Paris-II Panthéon-Assas. During the last ELFA Annual General Meeting, which was held online on 16 October 2020, it was announced that the next AGM and Conference would take place in Warsaw (Poland) from 21 to 23 April 2021. On 16 October 2020 took place the first Annual General Meeting of our Association held entirely online. The President Marek Grzybowski and the other members of the Board presented the 2019-2020 annual report of activities as well as the 2019 financial report and the budget for 2020. We are deeply sorry to announce that the ELFA Annual General Meeting and Conference, which was planned to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 22 to 24 April 2020, has been cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University of Warsaw has issued a statement suspending, from 11 March 2020, all public gatherings and events until the end of April and prohibiting foreign travel to and from the University. Great success of the 2019 ELFA AGM and Conference

The 2019 Conference and AGM Turin took place between the 10th and the 12th of April in Turin. The Conference started with an institutional welcome and then it was followed by a key note speech which was addressed by the President of the European University Institute.
